Sydney’s new M8 WestConnex Motorway is the second major underground stage of the WestConnex Motorway Network. Previously known as the New M5 during planning and construction, the M8 comprises twin 9km-long tunnels running from Kingsgrove to the new St Peter’s Interchange.
ACOM Group successfully commissioned and proved the functionality of over 20,000 assets during project completion. ACOM mobilised a multi-discipline blue-collar workforce of over 250 employees and a staff team of 30. We also implemented a permit-to-work system to ensure construction continued in a controlled environment.
